Ready for the Weekend with Pumpkin Chili in the Slow Cooker

 

I don’t know about you guys, but this short burst of fall weather is rocking my world.  Even though it’s not really that cold, I’ve thrown on my Uggs and I’m cuddled up with a blanket at my desk.

 

 

 

It feels pretty perfect.  :). All that’s missing is the smell of yummy fall food in my house, so after dropping off Parker at school I drove straight to HEB to load up on ingredients for my favorite chili recipe.  I LOVE this recipe so much that I just had to share it with you in a random post today.

 

 

I never would have thought to put pumpkin in a chili recipe, but it adds an incredible texture to the chili.  Plus, this is the first chili I ever tried with sausage, and I might never go back.  The recipe calls for spicy sausage, but I do half spicy and half normal so that my kiddos can eat it.  I do love it with just the spicy sausage, though, personally.  So, check out Tatortots & Jello’s yummy Pumpkin Chili recipe and let me know what you think!
