I’m back with some of my favorites from the Kids department in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. On Friday I told you all about some of my favorite purchases that I made on Thursday when Early Access began for Nordstrom cardholders. You can find that post here.
If you’re having problems ordering online, you might just want to keep checking back in. The Nordstrom website has been overloaded and my purchase couldn’t go through initially. However, if you try at lower-trafficked times (think tonight before bed), then you’ll likely have more luck. I know that it is working for some people, so don’t fret! I couldn’t get it to work at all yesterday or earlier this morning. But, it just worked finally.
Also, I want to let you know that I went back to return a few items on Friday and I also bought a couple more things (sigh … budgeting has been thrown out the door). I grabbed this Caslon shirt and these Wit + Wisdom ankle-length pants. I tried on both the true denim and black versions of the pants and I personally liked the fit of the denim ones better. So, just FYI – they don’t fit the exact same. Plus, I picked up a Giant-sized Living Proof Perfect Hair Day combo of shampoo, conditioner, and dry shampoo. I can’t find it online, but if you’re headed to the store I’d look out for it. At $79, the Anniversary Sale package is a fantastic deal.

Just a quick review in case you missed Friday’s post … The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a limited sale, offering brand-new fall styles at seriously discounted prices, from top brands for women, men, kids and home. The Anniversary Sale Early Access is offered to Nordstrom Credit/ Debit Cardholders until July 20 so they can exclusively shop the sale before everyone else. Or, you can just sign up for Nordstrom Rewards which allows you to earn points with your purchases at a slower rate (but you won’t have early access to the sale). You can sign up for a card or the Nordstrom Rewards program here. As soon as you sign up for Nordstrom Rewards, you receive a $20 note. If you’re like me and don’t want another credit card, you can do the debit card (which links directly to your checking account) and that way you can take advantage of all sales and receive rewards for your shopping.

I mentioned these in Friday’s post, but we love our Natives! If you haven’t tried them out, I highly recommend them. They’re so easy for the kids to put on at a young age and they look really cute. As I mentioned in the last post, the kids wear these pretty much every day in the summer. Typically I buy a pair of these in early spring and then another pair now for the upcoming school year. Foster especially loves his glow-in-the-dark bright green pair. Parker can still fit into her pink ones, but I think these sparkly blue ones will last us through the winter and will look cute with tights.

Every year I get the kids either a new fleece or puffy jacket, depending on what they’ve outgrown the previous year. I always buy a size up to ensure they’ll be able to wear it for two seasons. Parker is outgrowing her fleece one we bought two years ago, so it’s time for a new one. How cute is this bright pink fleece from The North Face? Plus, it looks so warm but won’t be too bulky for our mild Texas winters. Or, if you’re looking for a more lightweight fleece, this one is the style Parker’s used for the past two years and is under $30!

We have a huge dinosaur lover in the house, and he will be thrilled to see these new PJs. My aunt always shops the sale for Christmas and birthday gifts for my kids and this year these PJs are on her list. Foster had a growth spurt recently and I embarrassingly realized I’m trying to squeeze him into 4T PJs when he really needs size 6 or 7. Hello … can you tell I’m in denial that my kiddos are getting bigger? They have other patterns in these pajamas if you have a monster or outer space lover.

Surprise surprise … we have another The North Face jacket on my list. Can you tell these are staples in our closets? These are just the most classic jackets, and they hold up wonderfully. If you’re looking for a more lightweight rain jacket, I also really like this one.
