Austin Rainy Day Activities

Austin Rainy Day Activities

Hello Rain!

I don’t know about you but I have been singing in the rain this past week.  What a welcome change from the crazy heat we’ve been experiencing the past couple of months!  Although I’m loving this rainy weather, my kids and I are getting a bit stir crazy.  So, I’ve actually been pulling up my own resource pages here on Four Points Mom to get ideas of what to do.  LOL.  In doing so, I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite nearby indoor activity spots.

And, remember, you can always check out my resource pages (see that tab at the top, Resources for Austin Moms?).  You can find plenty of great resources there, such as Indoor Activity Spots and Restaurants with Playgrounds.

So, let’s get to it!

Playmazing (formerly Catch Air)

Catch Air North Austin

Your kiddos won’t be disappointed with a trip to Playmazing (formerly Catch Air).  Last week they started opening at 9 am during the week, so if you head up there early with your little ones you’ll have a better chance of missing crowds.  You can catch a write-up of one of our recent visits to Catch Air in this Friday Favorites post.

Lakeline Mall

I’ve said it before and I say it again, you can find tons to do at Lakeline Mall with your kiddos.  Check out my post all about the indoor activities at Lakeline Mall here.

The Coop

The Coop Austin

We LOVE The Coop.  Tag on a stop at The Coop when you’re heading to the Domain this week.  My kids had such a blast there this summer.  Check out my review of The Coop here.  Plus, you’ll love how cute everything is too!

Urban Air Adventure Park

Brand new this summer, Urban Air Adventure Park will surely be a hit for kids of all ages.  Not only are there trampolines, but you also have an indoor playground, warrior course, ropes course, zip line-esque adventure ride, and more.  We just booked Foster’s upcoming birthday party at Urban Air so keep a lookout for my post raving all about it.

Thinkery

It’s a bit of a drive, but it never lets us down.  My kids absolutely love heading to Thinkery.  If it keeps raining, we’ll be heading there on Thursday.

Thinkery Painting

Parker loves the water tables and the farmers market the most, but she also has a blast at the art area.

Alright that’s it for me today – I told you I’d be short and sweet.  😉

See you tomorrow!
