You may recall my Friday Favorites post during spring break in which I recapped our visit to The Science Mill.

Science Mill Entrance

The three of us were beyond pleased with what we discovered that day.

The Science Mill is a unique family destination that can provide you and your family hours of fun checking out cutting-edge technology-based exhibits, games and programs.

If you’re looking for a way to introduce science, technology, engineering, and math into your children’s lives … head here!

My kids especially loved digging for fossils at the Fossil Dig.  (If you’ve followed the blog for awhile, you know that dinosaurs are a HUGE part of our lives here in the Dale family).

Foster also tried his hand (see how I did that) at The new Colossal Robotic Hand.

We also raced robots.

Watching Robot Mice

Foster got really into his robot mouse, and was thrilled when he figured out how to maneuver it to find its cheese!

And who doesn’t love checking out giant tortoises?

My kids certainly do!  The African Spurred Tortoise Exhibit is quite incredible.

We also experimented with wind at the Sailboats exhibit.

We tested out how the Giant Lever works.

And I was eventually able to drag Foster away from the Incredible Ball Machine.

These are only a handful of the many exhibits I was surprised to find at The Science Mill.  Be sure to check out The Science Mill’s exhibits page to read about these and the many more I haven’t touched on.

I also just have to add here that the facility itself is absolutely beautiful.  The Science Mill is housed in an old feed mill from the 1800s – it’s absolutely incredible how they have restored this little piece of history in Johnson City.  Plus, it is so clean (which you know is super important for us moms)!

Plus, if you are wondering if you could bring along your younger kiddos, the answer is yes!  The Young Explorers toddler area is a great spot for your littlest ones to safely crawl around and get their wiggles out.
