Getting Organized

I am one of those “planner” people.  You know the type.

Planner Meme

LOL.

Seriously, though, I could sit around with my colored pens and update my planner all day.  I’m weird like that.

(Side Note:  if you are like me and LOVE colored pens, you have to check out these pens my coworker pointed me to a few months ago.  They are my new favorites and, hello, who can pass up 20 different colored pens at such an incredible price?)

I love using planners because I enjoy being able to quickly grab my planner to see a week’s or month’s worth of appointments, projects, and due dates at any time.  No matter how awesome online calendars have become, I’ll always have a “hold in your hand” planner around.  ‘

Erin Condren’s LifePlanner

When it comes to planners, Erin Condren’s LifePlanner is the gold standard.

I’ve wanted one for many years, but instead of planning ahead (sigh …) I would end up grabbing a cheaper, low quality planner from Target when I was in a bind and needed to get my next planner ASAP.  Friends kept telling me how much they loved their Erin Condren planners, and I finally sat down before the “I need a planner today” panic set in and ordered one.

How cute is that?  I love that I got to personalize the cover with photos of my family.  Plus, the quality of the planner hands-down surpasses any other planner I’ve used.

The packaging and free goodies that came along with my planner were such a sweet surprise.  Although photos somewhat relay the quality, I thought a video might better capture why I’m so excited.  (And, yes, I’m cringing listening to myself on video … anybody else feel that way when you hear yourself on video?  🙂 )

Plus, there are a few things I didn’t mention in the video that I want to tell you.

First, the covers are interchangeable.  So, if you want to update with new photos or decide you want a different design completely, it’s super easy to buy a new cover and just change it out.  Also, the reverse side of both covers allows you to write a to-do list in marker that you can update and wipe off completely.  How awesome is that?  I feel like I’m always starting up new to-do lists and instead of misplacing 100 post-it notes I can just keep it updated in one place.

The folder in the back of the planner is very high quality and I trust it will hold several sheets of paper or random tidbits.  Too often, these folders are flimsy and can’t really hold anything.

And, finally, I was surprised to find this Perpetual Calendar in the box with the LifePlanner.

This perfectly fits inside the folder in the back of the planner.  You can truly use it any way you want — maybe you want to track what you eat, track kids’ activities and child care, or really anything.  Very cool!
