There’s a New Baby in our Lives!
Amariah Tinina Jones was born on Wednesday in Houston, and I cannot wait to go see those chunky legs ASAP.
I first met her daddy, Cedric, over 12 years ago when we were matched together as Big and Littles through Big Brothers Big Sisters. I never would have imagined that signing up to be a mentor would have turned into a life-long sibling relationship. God works in amazing ways! Here he is with his sweet baby girl.
He’s going to be an amazing father. Amariah’s middle name comes from Cedric’s mom, Tinina, who passed away a few years ago. She would be so proud of him. I definitely am! He graduated valedictorian of his high school class and is working his way through college. 🙂 Amariah and beautiful mom, Daija, are doing wonderful and just got home. We all know that the next couple of weeks are tough so keep them in your prayers!
And, really quick, I want to send a HUGE thank you to all of you who have sent over baby and nursing items for me to take down to Houston next weekend. I can’t say enough about how much I love this community of women. You all are amazing. This is a photo of just some of the items that I’ve received from you ladies.
Swim Season Has Begun!
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m so excited that it’s swim season! My kids love swimming and I love having super tired kids who go to sleep easily. 😉
Plus, last week I got the new iPhone X and I have had so much fun exploring the new camera. I had no idea what I was missing! The portrait mode is so fun and I’m sure you will be seeing way too many photos with my kids in focus and the background out of focus from here on. At least you have the warning now … lol.
It’s Time To Celebrate Moms! I’m so happy I’ll get to see my mom and grandmother this weekend so we can thank them in person.
I don’t know about you, but I’m typically a last-minute shopper for birthdays and holidays (other than Christmas which I manage to plan for ahead of time). I may or may not be throwing things together today … However, I came across a few great deals that will allow you to grab something before Sunday.
